Getting NIS map information

• List of all values in a map - ypcat map_name
• List both key and value in a map - ypcat -k map_name
• List all map nicknames - any of below
• ypcat -x
• ypmatch -x
• ypwhich -x
• List all maps and their master - ypwhich -m
• To match a key with a entry in a map - ypmatch key map_name (example: ypmatch username passwd )
• Searching for item, try - ypcat map_name | grep item (example: ypcat netgroup | grep hostname )
