Beside using old fashion GUI, the FC StorEdge 3510 can be also managed with The Sun StorEdge 3000 family of software. Actually this family is one package: Sun Storage[TM] Configuration Service package (SUNWsscs). When writing this, the SUNWsscs version is 2.4. This version is for use with Sun StorEdge 3510 FC arrays running firmware version 4.2, but can be also used with older firmware except some functionality will not work. The SUNWsscs includes the following components: - Sun StorEdge Configuration Service agent - Sun StorEdge Configuration Service console - Sun StorEdge Diagnostic Reporter agent (daemon) - Sun StorEdge Diagnostic Reporter Config Tool (UI) - Sun StorEdge Command-Line Interface (CLI) Tip: Diagnostic Reporter connects to Configuration Service Agent and receives any event from the Agent. If the event is assigned a trap condition, Diagnostic Reporter emails the event to a user. Get the file 2.4_sw_solaris-sparc.zip from Sun Downloads .
